CornerEye a 'Hot Issue' at the Scania Winter Event 2016 in Norway
Scania Norway organizes the 'Scania Winter Event’ each year. The event is held from 18 January until 13 February and is an opportunity for customers, employees and suppliers to familiarize themselves with the latest developments in trucking, including Orlaco’s latest vision systems. The wintry environment in Trysil, Norway, is the location for the toughest tests in the coldest conditions.
This is an event where visitors can get behind the steering wheel so that they can experience at first hand what Norwegian drivers face each day. Snowy forest paths, tough slopes and the harsh, frosty conditions. The innovations and the vehicles will have to prove themselves in these challenging circumstances. In total, around 800 visitors from Norway, The Netherlands, Sweden and the Czech Republic come to this event.
Orlaco is set to promote the revolutionary CornerEye camera monitor system to visitors. The system has a wide angle lens that combines with the latest digital technology to deliver a field of vision of 270°, so CornerEye exceeds the criteria of vision classes V and VI. Blind corners disappear, just like snow in the sun. This is revolutionary in the truck industry, because this system makes every truck builder eligible for exemption from the pavement and front view mirror requirement, in accordance with mirror directive R46.
Built for the Toughest Conditions
The camera is waterproof to IP69K standard and also shock and vibration-resistant, and is built for the most demanding use. CornerEye is an extra pair of eyes that stay sharp in the dark and during bad weather, thanks to the high level of light sensitivity, giving the driver a full and detailed picture of the surroundings, continuously and in real time. The HD camera shows every detail on the high-resolution HD monitor. Come and find out about the latest vision systems at the Scania Winter Event!
