Position of the role within the organisation
Reports to the Team Leader ISS.
Objective of the role
Providing support and service to Account Management, providing information and making follow-up calls to (potential) customers with the objective of optimising the sales activities.
Characterisation of the activities
- Draws up offers, monitors progress of the offer process and provides administrative support.
- Draws up standards contracts, checks and processes discounts and price agreements.
- Follows up any outstanding offers
- Acts as primary point of contact towards customers, answers questions and provides (product) information.
- Actively approaches customers by telephone to realise (additional) sales.
- Follows up exhibition leads and arranges the processing thereof.
- Manages customer details in the CRM system and keeps them up to date.
- Works closely together with the Account Managers
- Identifies particularities and reports them to the manager.
- Manages and archives (customer) documents and price lists and keeps them up to date.
- Occasional travel to – and participation in trade shows
- Enters RMA and exchange orders as needed
Knowledge and skills
- Can contribute at a medium level of professional and intellectual ability (bachelor’s degree)
- Proven experience in similar positions
- Strong administrative skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Technical background
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional networking skills
- Proper command of Spanish is a plus

- Independent, service-oriented and problem-solving skills
- Advanced command and knowledge of modern computer systems such as Word, Excel, and CRM software, interested in building experience in new software
- Experience in working with bill of material is a plus

Complexity
Commercially administrative role aimed at providing support and service to Account Management. Draws up offers, takes on orders, checks progress, organises the follow-up and actively seeks out contact with (potential) customers. Regularly switches between the different activities and in response to questions and telephone calls from customers. Accuracy is required when drawing up offers and taking on orders. Time pressure is possible due to deadlines (agreements with customers).
Can contribute at a medium level of professional and intellectual ability (bachelor’s degree), complemented with commercial office sales experience. Sector-specific expertise within the sector is a plus. Written and verbal command of the English language. Must keep himself informed of new products and product development by means internal product training.
Organisational ability
Time is allocated on the basis of deadlines and agreements with customers. Has the freedom to divide time and set priorities therein according to personal insight. Is bound to guidelines and procedures in the formation and approach of the work. Initiative is important when actively seeking out contact with (potential) customers. Must respond to the questions and wishes of the customer.
Supervision is rather indirect and on the basis of reports and results. The choices to be made are in relation to the quality and progress of his own work and concern progress decisions with regard to commercial activities. Ensures offers are followed up.
Maintains internal contact and a close working relationship with the manager, Account Managers and colleagues abroad. These contacts are important to the exchange of information, (new) developments and offering adequate and efficient support to Account Management. Contacts further includes Product Management (system drawings, product information), Financial administration (customer information, creditworthiness), Production Control (order entry) and Marketing (exchange of information). These contacts are important to a swift completion of the work.
Employee underperformance risk
Maintains external contact with customers (answering questions, providing (product) information, informing of the options). These contacts are important to generating additional sales and maintaining customer contact. Tact is required therein. Errors and/or oversights in the work can lead to incorrect or insufficient support for Account Management. Incorrect support can lead to missed turnover targets and financial damage. Incorrect customer contact can lead to dissatisfied customers and damaged image. Errors can be promptly discovered and resolved by means of self-checks and checks by the manager. Discretion is required with regard to product and client information and price policy.
