Large shipping
The viewing problem
As ships continue to get larger, this is resulting in an increasing number of viewing problems. Anything immediately in front of the bow is often invisible. Also, you often have no view or a limited view of the gangways and have no way of checking on the engine room. Therefore taking effective action, for example in the event of fire in the engine room, is not possible.
The Orlaco solution
Orlaco’s camera systems are robust and can be used in the most extreme weather conditions. They help with visibility where and when ever needed. The systems can be used in various situations on ships and vessels, e.g. in the machine room, pump area, winches, on helicopter landing pads, car decks, ferries etc. — any imaginable place is possible.
Optimum safety in machine rooms and technical installations is of vital importance in the maritime sector. Our systems are therefore on the lookout 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In spite of all the high-tech components, the Orlaco systems are logical to use and easy to operate. The systems can be operated individually, from a distance or grouped through a video network system adapted to your specific situation and needs. All it takes is clicking the mouse or using the trackball to control all the observation locations as well as the cameras.

Whatever the problem or situation, Orlaco’s certified systems are the key to your solution. They will not only keep an eye on your safety and the safety of others on board, but also on various areas on and around the ship or vessel. Nothing goes unnoticed to the camera’s eye!

Applications
Due to the increasing number of cameras being installed on ships, cranes and drilling platforms, the need has arisen to simultaneously display multiple camera images. We regularly receive feedback from end users that a camera system in combination with various monitors takes up too much space. They also find it that becomes extremely confusing operating the camera’s various functions. Therefore, we have concluded there is a definite need for a system that provides a clear image and a well-ordered operating system on a single monitor. The fitter is often consulted as to which system will be used to operate the cameras and to select the images.
In combination with the Orlaco cameras, the Smart Display offers a perfect visibility solution. This 'smart' solution ensures optimum use of a single monitor. The camera and pan & tilt functions can be operated via a mouse pad (wireless), tracker ball or touch screen. The benefits of the Smart Display are the user friendly operating functions, the efficient use of space and the fact that the PC can be used for various purposes. The Smart Display can be used on an existing computer with a monitor.

FAQ
This is only possible if the installation can be connected to the current operating system and if there is a cable with (a minimum of six) poles. We advise you to first consult your fitter.
In most cases, zoom cameras are used on the decks and a Compact Camera (CCC78 or CCC54) with a tilt and turn unit on the bow.
This is caused by the type of lens that is being used. A camera with a small lens opening gives the effect of a Tele lens. A wider lens opening provides a larger view but with less detail. In general, the CCC54 Compact Camera provides a view that corresponds to our own field of view.
