Yes, Orlaco is ISO9001-2000 and ATEX certified and works with VCA certified technicians.
Commercial vehicles
Orlaco’s certified front vision system can easily be added to a VDO navigation system. Orlaco included the Garmin computer even in the assortment, which makes one-stop-shopping possible. The monitor must however have a monitor activator. The DDIN monitor is the most suitable for use as it is already fitted with a monitor activator. When speeds of 0 to 30 km per hour are reached, the driver will have front visibility and can hear the navigation instruction dialogue. The monitor will automatically switch over to the navigation mode when the brake is applied or when speeds above 30 km per hour are reached. In addition to connecting an Orlaco display to a navigation computer, there is also the possibility to connect Orlaco cameras to a navigation computer. This works with various types of Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine and VDO. If you would like to receive more information, you can always contact us via telephone number +31 342 404 555.
It is not possible to add front vision to a side vision system on new trucks that have been licensed after 26th January 2007, unless the front mirror remains mounted. A mandatory law states that vehicles travelling forwards between 0 and 30 km per hour must have a front vision system.
Front vision is mandatory for a vehicle turning to the right as the speed of the vehicle is slower than 30 km per hour. Whilst turning, front vision is mandatory and side vision cannot be displayed.
In the case of front vision, it is prohibited by law to view the images from two cameras on one single monitor. In other instances, however, we do not advise you to do this, as the quality of the camera image decreases when two images are displayed on one monitor and because of the costs involved. If you still wish to view two camera images simultaneously, we advise you to use two separate monitors.
We advise you to use a cable. When you use a cable you will be guaranteed to receive a constant high quality signal and image. Wireless systems use free frequencies. Therefore, there is a risk of receiving other images in the area which risks safety.
New trucks have already been fitted in the factory with mirrors that ensure visibility of the entire blind spot area to the side of the vehicle. The front mirror may be replaced by a local law-approved certified camera system for front vision. Orlaco’s certified FrontCam has many advantages compared to the front mirror.
The DDIN monitor is fitted as standard with a monitor activator. During front vision and speeds of more than 30 km per hour, the monitor automatically switches to standby mode. This allows for an "easy drive" as the driver does not see the continual flashing stripes from the road on the monitor.
Off-road
It is possible to connect four cameras to one single monitor and to activate them automatically
We do not advise this as the quality of the camera images decreases when two images are displayed simultaneously.
A wireless system is possible; however we do advise you to make use of a cable.
We have specially developed a cable (the armoured cable) for earth moving vehicles. All our cables are resistant to oil and petrol and equipped with waterproof connectors. The armoured cable has an extra protective layer which ensures that the cable is resistant to continuous movements and vibrations.
Cleaning
Yes, this is mandatory.
Yes, this is possible. A switcher makes it possible to connect a maximum of three cameras to one single monitor.
Two monitors must be used because both areas (front and rear) must be displayed individually.
This is possible with the help of the vertical marker line on the monitor. The marker can be set in such a way that when the marker line is in line with the container, the container can be picked up in one easy movement.
Fire department
In the case of a calamity the driver is not able to programme the navigation system. The programming is therefore done by the co-driver or the commander on the second monitor.
Fork-lifts
The Orlaco cameras are specially designed to use in extreme circumstances. Extensive testing as well as many years of experience by leading factories as well as after sales deliveries have proven that the Orlaco systems work effectively, even in the most extreme industrial environments.
Warehouse trucks are sometimes fitted with special attachments such as side shifts, fork spreaders, hydraulic telescope forks etc. The Orlaco camera can in most cases be used without a problem with such attachments. It is however advisable to mention these special applications beforehand. Please note that the KOOI telescope forks can be fitted in the factory with an Orlaco camera system as a standard option.
The Orlaco systems for reach trucks can be used trouble free in freezer rooms up to -35°C. The cameras are equipped with an automatic lens warmer that keeps the lens free of condensation and ice. The monitor can be used in temperatures up to -40°C. When the system is used in extreme cold conditions, it can take up to ten minutes before the system works optimally.
Orlaco can supply wireless connections, but we do however not advise the use of this type of connection on warehouse trucks. Although the wireless connections work extremely well in other applications, from experience we have noted that when they are used on warehouse trucks they cause interference and malfunctioning. Common problems caused are interference with other wireless systems (computer networks, WMS terminals etc.) and reflections on metal objects (masts, storage racks, walls/ceilings etc.). On the rare occasion that it is not possible to use the Orlaco mast cable, we advise the use of a special 4-point cable drum.
In order to connect the camera and monitor, Orlaco has developed a special mast cable that is positioned in the mast. This 9 mm cable runs parallel to the chains and hydraulic pipes in the mast in such a way that there is hardly any loss of visibility when looking through the mast. This cable fitting method can be used on both 3-part and 4-part masts. This mast cable that has been designed by Orlaco differs from standard available electric cables as it is resistant to the continual movement and twisting that occurs in forklift masts.
It is possible to build an Orlaco system in after sales onto a telescopic spreader; however it is advisable to first consult an expert who can evaluate the options beforehand.
Cranes
With the help of a switcher, it is possible to connect three cameras to one monitor. The operator needs to just push a button to switch between the various cameras.
A quad makes it possible to view a maximum of four cameras simultaneously on one monitor. We advise you to use a 10" monitor. A screen splitter allows for viewing a maximum of two cameras at one moment. In this case, the standard 7" monitor is adequate.
Yes, a rear vision and front vision system can be extended with a navigation system. All of these three functions are then combined on a single monitor.
Yes, an existing load view vision system can be extended, (depending on the application that is needed) with a winch view, rear vision and/or front vision system.
The Orlaco camera systems for tower and lattice boom cranes can either be purchased or rented. A custom-made vision solution is available depending on the requirements of the customer.
Wireless connections are used mostly in telescope, tower and mobile tower cranes. The main reason for this is the variable distance between the camera and the monitor. A solid cable connection would be in these instances extremely vulnerable to damages due to the increased possibility of the cable breaking.
Maritime
This is only possible if the installation can be connected to the current operating system and if there is a cable with (a minimum of six) poles. We advise you to first consult your fitter.
In most cases, zoom cameras are used on the decks and a Compact Camera (CCC78 or CCC54) with a tilt and turn unit on the bow.
This is caused by the type of lens that is being used. A camera with a small lens opening gives the effect of a Tele lens. A wider lens opening provides a larger view but with less detail. In general, the CCC54 Compact Camera provides a view that corresponds to our own field of view.

Products
Yes, a zoom camera that is often used on cranes and ships can be switched onto standby mode.
Orlaco offers colour as well as black-and-white systems. A colour
system is of course preferable as it provides better contrasts and more
real to life images, thus ensuring the viewer easier recognition.
A
crane operator will for example immediately recognize orange safety
jackets on his monitor and be able to react instantly. However during
the evening, the black-and-white camera has always proven its value
with the quality of its contrast and clarity (0.1 Lux)
A maximum of 4 cameras can be connected to an Orlaco monitor.
Orlaco products are EMC, EC, CE, ADR, ATEX certified.
