Fork-lifts
The viewing problem
Forklifts are designed to move loads easily, but the work area is often not clearly visible to the operator whilst loading or placing the loads or even whilst he is reversing.

The Orlaco solution
The working area is visible when a camera monitor system is used, meaning the operator is now able to work safer, faster and more efficiently.

Orlaco’s Colour Compact Camera (CCC) has been specially designed for use in circumstances where shocks, bumps and vibrations are common. The camera shows the working area in detail, enabling the operator to work easier and more enjoyably.

Applications
The visibility of the driver is largely reduced when attachments such as clamps, rotators etc. are used. Using a camera, the driver is able to carry out his work optimally.

It is possible to use several cameras. When a rear vision camera is used, it is possible to switch automatically between the cameras, depending on the driving direction.

FAQ
The Orlaco cameras are specially designed to use in extreme circumstances. Extensive testing as well as many years of experience by leading factories as well as after sales deliveries have proven that the Orlaco systems work effectively, even in the most extreme industrial environments.
Warehouse trucks are sometimes fitted with special attachments such as side shifts, fork spreaders, hydraulic telescope forks etc. The Orlaco camera can in most cases be used without a problem with such attachments. It is however advisable to mention these special applications beforehand. Please note that the KOOI telescope forks can be fitted in the factory with an Orlaco camera system as a standard option.
The Orlaco systems for reach trucks can be used trouble free in freezer rooms up to -35°C. The cameras are equipped with an automatic lens warmer that keeps the lens free of condensation and ice. The monitor can be used in temperatures up to -40°C. When the system is used in extreme cold conditions, it can take up to ten minutes before the system works optimally.
Orlaco can supply wireless connections, but we do however not advise the use of this type of connection on warehouse trucks. Although the wireless connections work extremely well in other applications, from experience we have noted that when they are used on warehouse trucks they cause interference and malfunctioning. Common problems caused are interference with other wireless systems (computer networks, WMS terminals etc.) and reflections on metal objects (masts, storage racks, walls/ceilings etc.). On the rare occasion that it is not possible to use the Orlaco mast cable, we advise the use of a special 4-point cable drum.
In order to connect the camera and monitor, Orlaco has developed a special mast cable that is positioned in the mast. This 9 mm cable runs parallel to the chains and hydraulic pipes in the mast in such a way that there is hardly any loss of visibility when looking through the mast. This cable fitting method can be used on both 3-part and 4-part masts. This mast cable that has been designed by Orlaco differs from standard available electric cables as it is resistant to the continual movement and twisting that occurs in forklift masts.
It is possible to build an Orlaco system in after sales onto a telescopic spreader; however it is advisable to first consult an expert who can evaluate the options beforehand.
