After the summer, the German excavation industry will focus on Nordbau and Steinexpo. The exhibitors at these two trade fairs will inform businesses from the construction industry about the latest developments and they will be showing the latest products from their field of specialisation. So will Orlaco, who will be demonstrating its camera and monitor systems for excavators at Nordbau and Steinexpo.

Because of the driver's position, the size of the machine and the constantly changing work areas, drivers of excavators have to deal with considerable blind spots, particularly at the front and back of the vehicle. This poses great risks in terms of safety. That is why excavators have had to comply with the ISO 5006 standard since 1 December 2008. The standard stipulates that everything within a 1-metre radius of the vehicle and up to 1.5 metres high must be visible. In order to improve safety, Orlaco has developed the camera and monitor systems for excavators in such a way that the driver has maximum visibility and he meets the statutory requirements.



Good visibility is essential not only for safety, but also for progress of the working process. The visibility system improves the efficiency of the actions, which leads to economic benefits. As the driver now has an extra pair of eyes, the chances of damage are considerably reduced and it also makes working for him more comfortable. Steinexpo is a special event for the excavation industry, as it is an outdoor trade fair with lots of demonstrations for the visitors. Whereas Steinexpo is mainly a national affair, Nordbau also attracts visitors from the Scandinavian countries due to the northern location of this trade fair.
