Transport 2011 platform for Orlaco
From 6 to 9 April, all eyes in the Scandinavian transport and logistics sector will be focused on Transport 2011. At this trade fair and conference in Denmark, all businesses from the sector meet together to discuss the latest news and product developments. This is the ultimate transport event in Scandinavia, one which Orlaco Products cannot afford to miss.
This is the first time in three years that Transport 2011 has been organised. The Scandinavian transport fair was postponed a couple of years due to the situation in which the transport sector found itself. The market has suffered considerably from the global economic recession. In 2011 however, the trade fair is starting afresh and in an entirely new format. Transport 2011 focuses on the legislation that causes problems in daily practice. Visitors and stand holders are given the opportunity to discuss this matter and to look for solutions. 
Considerable growth
Due to the recession, the number of trucks manufactured was lower than in 2008, a top year. Still, Orlaco managed to realise a considerable growth, both at home and abroad. Transport companies in Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium recognise the benefits of Orlaco's front view cameras. The specialist in visibility solutions has identified a rise in the number of cameras per manufactured vehicle, despite lower production numbers. In 2010, it even realised a considerable growth, selling nearly 30 percent more cameras via truck manufacturers and their importers. Orlaco is also confident about the future, given the number of cameras sold for DAF and Scania trucks yet to be manufactured. In addition, Orlaco has identified a rise via the Volvo, MAN, Mercedes, Iveco and Renault after-sales channels.
The Dutch company is doing well. In 2010, Orlaco awarded this with the construction of a new factory building, giving it more opportunities to increase production. In addition to the recently extended ISO certificate 9001, Orlaco is now in the process of obtaining a higher quality standard. It anticipates obtaining the TS certificate in the first quarter of 2012. The TS certificate is an important standard in the automotive production sector.
Focus on Scandinavia
Orlaco is not entirely unfamiliar with the Scandinavian transport market. Thanks to its own branch in Denmark and good partnerships with manufacturers and dealers in the same country, transport companies in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark know about the benefits of Orlaco's camera systems. Also, this is an important region on account of the intention of the manufacturers that Orlaco works with to realise growth in Scandinavia.
At Transport 2011, Orlaco will enter into a dialogue with its Scandinavian customers and offer support to its collaboration partners, the truck manufacturers and their importers.
