Orlaco launches sharp-image CMOS camera

Orlaco has unveiled the CMOS camera! Based on CMOS technology, these compact cameras deliver outstanding image quality in all conditions. One obvious benefit is that these cameras perform better in gloomy conditions and are less susceptible to overexposure. For this reason, CMOS compact camera are ideal for (rear) view systems on trucks and off-road equipment.

The technology behind CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) has been available on the market for some years now, but until recently the image quality it was possible to achieve did not meet Orlaco's stringent standards. Orlaco has now developed compact cameras using latest-generation CMOS sensors. Around 200 of these cameras have been subjected to practical testing over the last year. As well as meeting market requirements, they also comply with Orlaco's tough quality requirements.

Range
Four different CMOS camera models are available and are in stock now: the 0143650 Camera CMOS 78° NTSC, the 0143660 Camera CMOS 115° NTSC, the 0146000 Camera CMOS 78° PAL and the 0146060 Camera CMOS 115° PAL. Prices are comparable to those for CCC Colour Cameras.

Sharp view
The most obvious benefit of the CMOS 115 and the CMOS 78 is the excellent image quality, achieved by the greater dynamic range of the camera. The cameras guarantee a sharp view in both bright sunshine and dusky conditions. There is no image smearing in the event of overexposure. These PAL cameras can be used in conjunction with all Orlaco monitors and other wide-screen monitors. The resolution is 640 x 480 pixels.

Reliable camera
CMOS cameras are reliable and perform well in almost any environment. They are waterproof to IP69k and can withstand temperatures of between -40°C and +85°C. The cameras are EMC-compliant and >30G shockproof.
